The Strength of Silence
In shadows deep, where silence dwells,
They kill the Christians, and we ring no bells.
They slay the Jews, our voices refrain,
Injustice unfolds, yet we bear the pain.
Hindus fall victim, our hearts grow cold,
While cries of the righteous go left untold.
Jewish women suffer, in anguish they weep,
And still, our resolve towards action lies asleep.
Flags burn in fury, symbols of strife,
While American Jews face peril to life.
The tenets of democracy, under siege they stand,
With cowardice binding our unsteady hand.
Do we not see the horror expand—
The cancerous roots of a radical brand?
It festers and spreads; a malignant tide,
As we turn our backs, in complacency reside.
Must we remain mute as the darkness encroaches?
Or rise up united, as conscience reproaches?
Awake from the slumber, take heed of the call,
For the strength of our silence invites the fall.
Let voices converge, let action commence,
To thwart the insidious and wield our defense.
For in unity’s grasp, a brighter future gleams—
Against hatred’s assault, we must mend our dreams.
